WHAT IS PROSECCO SUPERIORE?
Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG Prosecco Superiore is known for it’s vital elegance, it’s light straw colour, it’s moderate body and its fruity, flowery bouquet. It is produced in the 15 municipalities dotted through the hillsides between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. Among the wines the most celebrated are the Superiore di Cartizze and the Rive which are produced from grapes harvested exclusively from a single municipality or municipal subsection. Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG is produced as a still, semi-sparkling and sparkling wine. The sparkling is the most symbolic version, pleasant and versatile it has created its own style of drinking. Based on sugar residue the Sparkling – Spumante – is produced as a Brut, Extra Dry and Dry. The driest is the Brut, the softest is the Dry.
